VanGroomer.com ("VanGroomer," "we," "us," or "our") operates a directory of mobile pet groomers in the NYC metro area. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our website and services.
Information We Collect
From pet owners (consumers): When you submit a grooming request through our site, we collect your name, email address, zip code, and pet type. We use this information solely to connect you with a local mobile groomer.
From grooming businesses: We list publicly available business information including business name, phone number, address, website, and Google Maps rating. If a groomer claims their listing, we additionally collect their email address and any profile information they choose to provide.
From all visitors: We collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, time on site, general location) via Google Analytics. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes.
How We Use Your Information

SMS Communications
VanGroomer may send SMS messages to grooming business owners using their publicly listed business phone number to notify them that their business has been listed on VanGroomer.com and to provide information about claiming or updating their free listing. All SMS messages identify VanGroomer by name and include opt-out instructions.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all future SMS messages.
- Reply HELP for support or contact us at hello@vangroomer.com.
- Message frequency: 1–3 messages per recipient.
- Message and data rates may apply.
Mobile phone numbers are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected or used in connection with SMS communications are used solely to deliver VanGroomer directory notifications and are not shared with any third party for any other purpose.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information — including mobile phone numbers — with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers who help us operate VanGroomer.com (such as Supabase for database hosting, Postmark for email delivery, and Twilio for SMS delivery), solely to provide our services. We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services. Grooming businesses may request removal of their listing at any time by emailing hello@vangroomer.com.
